Hines Ward

As I was refining my illustration style I sought out subjects that would be of interest to me and Hines Ward immediately came to mind. I really wanted to play with creating a portrait that was both minimal and that would be clearly identifiable. Another challenge that I gave myself was melding the white space into the portrait and I wanted simple blocks of color to really portray the contours of his face and jersey.
